DANIEL IN THE LIONS' DEN
Daniel 6:1-28 - Daniel was a faithful Jewish exile who rose to high position in the Persian Empire. When jealous officials conspired against him through his religion, they convinced King Darius to issue a decree that anyone who prayed to any god except the king would be thrown into the lions' den. Despite knowing the law, Daniel continued praying toward Jerusalem three times daily. When caught and reported, the reluctant king was forced to throw Daniel into the den.
